Deep Ties, Untapped Potential:
Despite deep historical, commercial and cultural ties, the entrepreneurial ecosystems of India and Africa remain loosely connected. The IAEF exists to change that, harnessing the creative capacity of entrepreneurs in both regions to solve common, pressing problems and accelerate trade and investment.
Two Economies, One Scale:
Africa's fifty-four states produce a combined GDP of over US$3.2 trillion, almost the same as India. The continent's economy is estimated to grow 3.2 percent, and it is home to six of the world's fastest-growing economies.
A Startup Powerhouse:
With 57,000 startups valued at $450B, India is the third largest entrepreneurial ecosystem in the world. Over 650 African startups raised total funding of $5.2B in 2022, a 1700 percent increase since 2015, lifting the combined valuation of about 900 startups to roughly $50B.
The Go-To Platform:
The IAEF has evolved into the go-to platform connecting entrepreneurs and investors active in the India Africa corridor. These dynamic ecosystems have much in common, and much to gain from interacting, co-creating and co-founding.
